A TRIBUTE TO ROB JAMES

A year ago today (5th October 2006) The Severn lost a dear colleague and friend Rob James. Whilst Rob worked for only a short time at The Severn, Rob touched everyone's lives within our group of stations, he was News Editor for the group and was instrumental in establishing the news teams at 107.2 The Wyre and The Severn.

Rob was kind-hearted, quick witted and a true gentleman who would always be whizzing around the office on his swivel chair getting the latest news stories ready for his bulletins.

As well as working in news Rob also worked for Kerrang 105.2 in Birmingham and Kerrang Digital across the UK presenting the Unsigned Show every Sunday at 9pm with fellow presenter Loz.

Rob was also involved with WCR in Wolverhampton which started his radio career and where he has many contacts today.

A year may have past since Rob died but everyone who knew Rob misses him dearly.
